Responsibilities: -Serve as the subject matter expert for battery materials, providing technical support and guidance to internal teams and external customers. -Develop, plan and execute on technical application projects to demonstrate value of Lubrizol polymers and additives in battery applications. -Support customer meetings by making product presentations, collecting voice of customer and providing technical support. -Develop and maintain a deep understanding of battery manufacturing processes, including line survey experience for secure launch. -Collaborate with cross-functional global teams to develop and implement technical programs and solutions for clients. -Conduct technical evaluations and assessments of battery materials and manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement. -Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and emerging technologies in the battery sector. -Participate in technical conferences, seminars, and workshops to represent Lubrizol, enhance knowledge and network with industry experts. -Work closely with cross-cultural, cross-regional teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration on technical projects. -Support the development and implementation of training programs for internal teams and clients. -Travel requirement ~ 30% of the time. Requirements: -PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Polymer Science or related field. -Minimum 3 years of experience working with battery materials and a solid understanding of the lithium-ion battery material. -Deep knowledge of polymeric binders and materials in batteries considered a plus. -Experience working in a lab setting with hands-on formulation development, and battery cell fabrication. -Experience in following safe laboratory practices to local and company standards. -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address technical challenges. -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. -Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, while delivering high-quality results in a faced-paced environment. -Fluency in English is required.
