Role Purpose Reporting to the China Managing Director (MD), the Account Director will be responsible for the successful account execution, implementation, growth and operational delivery of Print, Point of Sales Materials (POSM) and Gift with Promotion (GWP)Management services in China for one of our key strategic clients. They will head up a dedicated client services team and be responsible for client management and product delivery through constant liaison with clients and suppliers on all matters relating to print, POSM & GWP and campaign management, including, but not limited to, proactively collaborating with clients on solutions, quoting, managing production schedules, and following through on projects to delivery. Key Responsibilities The role will involve: 1) Operations • Being the first point of contact for all jobs, quotations and requests • Delivering exceptional service management and on-going cost savings • Managing progression of the jobs with suppliers through the various stages in the production lifecycle till delivery • Ensuring that client is updated regularly on the progress of their projects • Being responsible for brand guardianship to ensure consistency • Managing and ensuring all print materials, POSM and GWP meet client quality standards • Providing technical advice to the Marketing team • Working closely with the Marketing team and ensuring smooth and timely execution • Selecting the most appropriate supplier, negotiating costing and timescales for each job • Ensuring that orders will be processed in the most efficient manner available • Providing added value for client • Managing the relationships with suppliers and ensure product safety compliance and any environmental compliance is completed by all print vendors • Identify and pursue new service opportunities • Ensure compliance with Tag best practices • Constantly re-engineer services to maximise profit in line with company best practice and client needs • Implement all new business successfully • Adhere to all Tag risk management guidelines and proactively manage all contract risk • Support Implementation Lead for smooth transition during project landing stage until BaU 2) Finance • Manage site P&L to meet budgets • Work with the MD and the team to identify cost saving initiatives and on-going added value services for the life of the contract 3) Client Management • Establish, develop and maintain long term relationships with key senior stakeholders within the client account • Proactively develop new relationships across the account as appropriate • Undertake relationship building, stakeholder management and communications at all levels within the client and Tag organisations. • Continuously refine the Tag proposition for clients 4) Business Development • Demonstrate an understanding of the technological direction of the industry and how these advances will benefit the client • Identifies and develops business opportunities in line with the business plan 5) Process • Ensure results of the customer satisfaction survey are acted upon where necessary • Implement and use best practice principles • Implement and review local operating procedures manual Key Qualifications and Experience • Experienced senior manager – a good all-rounder with exceptional client management skills • Will have at least eight years’ experience within a similar FMCG environment, Consumer Health experience is a plus. • Prior print. POSM and GWP management experience. Experience with Supply Chain Management of Print, POSM and GWP products is a plus. • Commercially astute and proven ability to grow accounts • Experience of working in an environment where priorities are constantly changing • Focus on project management, timely delivery and achievement of Key Performance Indicators • Strong computer skills (including Excel, Powerpoint and Word) • Excellent client facing and customer service skills, service minded • Self-motivated with high personal drive • Ability to build relationships and develop new business • Committed, resilient and prepared to work extra hours as required • Can manage change, and keep a clear perspective of end goals • Team player with a positive outlook who can inspire and motivate peers • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Strong attention to detail and excellent judgment • Effective under pressure and able to deliver constantly • Strong influencing and negotiation skills and articulate and a good listener • Excellent English and Mandarin communication skills
