- Manufacturing Engineering is the engineering discipline responsible for the development of manufacturing processes, tools, machines, equipment and procedures that enable the manufacturing of IMMI’s products. The primary objectives that govern the design of these assets in to ensure a safe, ergonomic, defective free and efficient manufacturing process that maximum capital expenditures. Responsibilities: Support global new product and current product development projects by developing automated processes, equipment, and documentation. a) Responsible for the layout & detailed mechanical design, specification & documentation of components. b) The automation that is designed and manufactured will be used in China and at any or all IMMI global sites c) Work with outside vendors to quote and design tooling and equipment. d) Work with project teams to stay on track with Stagegate deliverables. e) Evaluate and mitigate risk within the process design through use of standard industry tools such as PFMEA. Develop and ensure that the mechanical design meets the IMMI global specification and requirements in terms of safety, functionality, reliability, cost efficient for manufacturing and assembly. Responsible to solve the key technical problems in the design, Responsible for the machine function analysis, responsible to the drawing release. Study industry standards and ensure safe designs & meet applicable industry safety requirements Research, develop, and document standardized automated processes to be deployed and enforced at sites globally. Responsible for preparation of documents, equipment file management from design stage to delivery. Responsible for the technical service of equipment assembly and debugging; Cooperate with electrical engineer for debugging. Responsible for tracking processing and assembly for quality and delivery. Stay abreast of new technologies that can enhance safety and increase value of our products/processes. Required Qualifications: Must hold a Bachelor of Applied Science in electrical engineering and automation specialty, Mechanical Engineering, or have an equivalent combination of schooling and work related manufacturing experience. At least 5 years design experience in non-standard automation, mechanical automation equipment, assembly line equipment and robot system integration. Familiar with all kinds of materials, surface treatment technology, processing and assembly technology of precision parts, sheet metal parts. have a good theoretical basis of mechanical design; Familiar with the functions, principles and characteristics of motors, frequency converters, various sensors, electromagnetic valves, cylinders and other common electrical components, and be able to correctly select and properly use them; Must have verbal, auditory and written English skills sufficient to receive work direction, to participate in cross-functional teams, to communicate with suppliers, to communicate with customers, and to be able to meet the reporting requirements of this position Problem Solving/Analysis
